Shetland Tunes from Unst (for Violin and Piano) contains 28 tunes over 107 pages.

The tune titles refer to places on Unst where I have spent many happy hours and I hope the music reflects, to some extent, my appreciation of nearly eighteen years living on the island.

I have added an easy piano part to the tunes in an effort to make them more accessible. The left hand piano part can also be played on double bass or bass guitar.

Shetland Tunes from Yell (for Violin and Piano) contains 45 tunes and 25 original drawings by Ron Sandford.

As the foreword by Mike McDonnell states

John Laughland and Ron Sandford, keen walkers both, have tramped over most of Yell, and have their own favourite places. Their combined impressions provide a kind of creative counterpoint.
